Comprehensive Package

Our comprehensive package includes:

Interviews & Assessments

  • Information gathering and get-to-know-you meetings with parents and with the student
  • Administration of assessments to determine learning style, career interests, and college preferences
  • Thorough review of transcript to date, test scores, extracurricular activities and awards
  • Synthesis of information in a Student Profile used to guide the college search process
  • Guidance on high school course selection

College List Building

  • Comprehensive research of colleges based on student interests and preferences resulting in a customized list of good match colleges for the student and parents to examine more deeply
  • Financial aid education and guidance, including recommendations for in-state college options and when feasible, private college options offering generous financial aid that could even approximate or beat an in-state university’s cost of attendance
  • Recommendations for SAT and ACT testing schedules and test prep
  • Access to effective, targeted research tools for students to examine colleges on their list

Application Oversight

  • Organization and guidance of college applications in a web-based program accessible from anywhere with a connection
  • Regular meetings with the student to review essays, supplementals, and questions arising from the application itself
  • Creation of a manageable timeline for application submission that doesn’t overwhelm the student

 

Transfer Package

(5 Hours)

Our Transfer Package is for students who are transferring between colleges.

  • Helping the student identify colleges meeting their academic and social needs
  • Guiding the student through the transfer application process via Common App or the college’s own application
  • Providing resources for determining the course transfer policies between universities
  • Essay assistance in the form of brainstorming, structure, and purpose of writing supplements commonly found on transfer applications
  • Overview of potential sources for merit or need based aid, if available
